Soul Restoration Through Somatic Wisdom
NURTURING THE SOUL THROUGH TRE (Tension / Trauma Release Exercises), SHAW METHOD SWIMMING, AND FREEDOM COACHING TO RELEASE STORED TENSION AND FIND INNER BALANCE.
Cultivating Resilience Through Somatic Wisdom
Hi, I’m Jonathan.
My path into coaching grew out of over 20 years exploring healing, personal growth, embodiment, and transformation through practices such as yoga, meditation, TRE, Breathwork, bodywork, and nervous system healing.
Along the way, I came to realise that lasting change doesn’t happen simply by trying harder or endlessly fixing ourselves - it happens when we begin to understand the deeper patterns and structures shaping our lives.
My coaching is influenced by the work of Robert Fritz and William Whitecloud and focuses on helping people move from reaction and survival into conscious creation. Together, we explore what you genuinely want in life, what may be unconsciously holding you back, and how you can begin creating change in a more aligned, grounded, and sustainable way.
I bring a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental approach to coaching. I’m less interested in quick fixes and more interested in helping people reconnect with themselves, build self-awareness, and create meaningful transformation from the inside out.
Because of my background in trauma and nervous system work, I also understand that change isn’t just mental — it lives in the body too. Much of my work involves helping people slow down, reconnect with their own inner wisdom, and move beyond patterns of stress, fear, burnout, or self-sabotage.
I work particularly well with people who feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or at a crossroads in life and are looking for greater clarity, purpose, freedom, and authenticity.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: we all have the capacity to create lives that feel more aligned, meaningful, and alive.
TRE (Tension / Trauma Release Exercises)
TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a simple yet powerful body-based practice designed to help release deep patterns of stress, tension, and trauma held within the nervous system.
Through a series of gentle exercises, the body activates a natural tremoring response known as neurogenic tremoring, allowing stored tension to be released safely and organically.
TRE supports grounding, relaxation, emotional balance, and nervous system regulation, helping people reconnect with a greater sense of calm, resilience, and wellbeing.
I teach TRE because I have personally experienced the profound impact it can have on healing and transformation. Like many people, I spent years carrying stress, tension, and unresolved emotional patterns within my body without fully understanding how deeply they were affecting my life. Discovering TRE became a turning point — physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
What inspires me most is witnessing how transformational this work can be for others. Many people arrive feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. Through learning to safely reconnect with their bodies and release deeply held tension, they often experience greater ease, clarity, vitality, and emotional freedom.
My approach is gentle, trauma-informed, and rooted in creating safety and trust. I believe healing happens through listening to the wisdom of the body and allowing natural processes to unfold with compassion and presence.
Shaw method swimming
The Shaw Method is a mindful and body-friendly approach to swimming that combines modern swimming technique with principles from the Alexander Technique. Rather than relying on force and effort, it focuses on balance, spinal alignment, breathing, relaxation, and efficient movement through the water. The method helps people swim with greater ease, confidence, and flow while reducing tension and strain on the body.
I was drawn to teach the Shaw Method because it reflects much of what I value in healing and personal transformation — awareness, embodiment, nervous system regulation, and learning to work with the body rather than against it. Water has a unique ability to calm the mind and reconnect us to ourselves, and this method deepens that experience in a profound way.
I love helping people overcome fear, tension, and self-doubt in the water while rediscovering confidence, enjoyment, and freedom through movement. For me, teaching the Shaw Method is about far more than swimming — it is about connection, wellbeing, and transformation.
Freedom coaching
My coaching approach is influenced by the work of Robert Fritz and William Whitecloud, particularly the principles of Structural Coaching and conscious creation.
At the heart of this work is the understanding that lasting change comes not from forcing or fixing ourselves, but from becoming aware of the deeper patterns and structures shaping our lives.
Through coaching, I help people gain clarity around what they truly want while identifying the unconscious beliefs, habits, and emotional dynamics that may be keeping them stuck or disconnected from their purpose. Rather than focusing on blame or problems, the work is grounded in awareness, curiosity, and personal responsibility. My background in trauma healing, embodiment, and nervous system regulation naturally complements this approach.
I understand that transformation is not only mental - it also lives within the body.
Ultimately, my role is to support people in reconnecting with their own truth, resilience, and creative power so they can build lives that feel more aligned, meaningful, and alive.
